An experienced IT engineer that has practical work in both end user computing and Business computing, Working daily troubleshooting and resolving complicated networking and vSphere issues with different customers around the world, I have a good working knowledge in both Windows and Linux, and in VMware products, Currently I hold a level 7 Bachelor's degree in Science in Computer Systems and Networking and have got both my VCF (VMware vSphere 6.7 Foundations) and VCP (VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization 2019) from VMware.

DigitalWell - Co.Cork

In my role at DigitalWell, I am a MIT field service engineer. This role involves working with companies around Ireland providing both remote and on-site IT services. During my short time I have implemented many positive changes within the company such as building new processes for better case resolution. As well as that I have worked with many different companies to design and build out their networks, find new solutions to problems they are facing, install and configure new servers, switches, firewalls and end user PCs.

 

Some of the solutions that I work on during my time with DigitalWell

  • AutoTask – This is our ticketing system
  • Datto RMM – This is the monitoring tool that I admin and manage for DigitalWell
  • ScreenConnect – This solution is used to remote into PCs and Servers to assist us to manage customers

  • Fortigate Firewalls / Watchguard firewalls
  • HPE switches / Dell Switches / Fortigate Switches
  • Unifi APs / Fortigate APs

In my role at present, I support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Sharepoint etc), Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Fortigate Firewalls, Watchguard firewalls, HPE switches, Dell switches. Many Mult-vLAN networks. Following on from this extensive list I also actively troubleshoot complex problems and pride myself in my role as team lead with major projects that have arose in the company to date which I have outlined below.

Working with customers in EMEA on their vSphere/NSX/VCF environments, troubleshooting complicated networking issues, working with the IT staff of different customers to implement and resolve issues that are being faced daily.

  • Senior technical support engineer working with NSX-T, HCX and Core Networking.
